Security & Data Handling
This page explains how GhostInbox (Temp Mail Gen), operated by Artics Inc., treats temporary mail data. We publish it so users and partners understand limits and responsibilities.
Data retention
Generated addresses and received messages are kept only for a short period (typically about one hour from creation). Automated cleanup and database TTL rules remove old records. After deletion, recovery is not offered.
What we collect
- Inbox content: mail sent to your temporary address while it exists
- Website analytics: only with consent, via Google Analytics (see Privacy Policy)
- Contact form: only if you voluntarily email us through Contact Us
We do not require registration or a real identity to use the free inbox.
Abuse prevention
Public temporary mail can be misused. We maintain an Acceptable Use Policy prohibiting illegal activity, harassment, fraud, malware, and similar conduct. Reports: webmaster@artics.io (subject: abuse report). We may delete data, block patterns, or cooperate with authorities when required by law.
Receive-only design
Users cannot send outbound mail through GhostInbox. That reduces spam relay risk and aligns the product with verification and privacy use cases rather than bulk messaging.
Your responsibilities
- Do not use temporary addresses for banking or critical account recovery
- Assume anyone who knows the address can see incoming mail
- Do not submit passwords or highly sensitive personal data to untrusted sites
- Use the service only for lawful purposes
