Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

Welcome to GhostInbox (Temp Mail Gen). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information in connection with the website and temporary email service.

1. Information we collect

We do not require registration or a real identity to generate a temporary address. Email messages sent to generated addresses are processed so you can read them in the browser; they are not tied to your name or account on our side unless you voluntarily contact us (for example via the contact form) and provide personal details.

We may collect aggregated usage statistics and browsing behavior through third-party services such as Google Analytics and Google Ads to improve the site experience. See section 4.

2. Temporary email data & retention

Generated addresses and their inboxes exist only for a short time (on the order of about one hour from creation, subject to our backend configuration, maintenance, and automated cleanup). After that, associated data may be deleted automatically. You should assume messages can disappear at any time within that window.

Because inboxes are temporary and may be visible to anyone who knows the address, do not use GhostInbox for highly sensitive information. Our Acceptable Use Policy describes prohibited uses and reporting.

3. Abuse reports and safety

If you need to report misuse of the service (for example illegal content, harassment, or malware), email webmaster@artics.io with a clear subject line (for example, "GhostInbox abuse report"). We review credible reports and may delete content, block patterns, or take other steps described in our Acceptable Use Policy. Where the law requires cooperation with authorities, we will comply. We retain or preserve technical records only as needed for security, abuse handling, and legal compliance, and only as advised by counsel when preservation may be required for legal process.

4. Google AdSense, Analytics, and third-party cookies

We may use Google AdSense to show advertisements and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. When ads are enabled, third parties including Google may place and read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons and IP addresses, to serve and measure ads and to personalize ads (where permitted by your consent choices).

We use Google's Consent Mode and, where configured, Google Funding Choices so that advertising and analytics cookies are not used until you provide consent where required by law. You can change your choices using our cookie banner or "Manage Cookie Preferences" control.

5. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions, analytics, and advertising (including Google AdSense). Non-essential cookies are used only after you consent, where required. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies using our cookie banner, or manage preferences via Google Funding Choices when enabled.

6. Your consent

Where required by applicable law, analytics and advertising cookies are enabled only after your consent. You may withdraw or update your consent choices at any time.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
